Description of the Park

Beetham Caravan Park was set up in 1969 and is still run by the Russell family to provide a secluded haven for those wanting to relax, enjoy nature and explore the beauty of the local area, the Lake District, Yorkshire Dales and Forest of Bowland.

Families and children are very welcome. There is an adventure playground and dedicated areas especially for ball games and children's' activities on the park. So as to make the most of the peace and quiet that this natural haven provides we have deliberately sought not to build a pool, on-site bar or café.

The tranquility and relaxing ambience of the park is what owners and visitors most enjoy. A holiday home on the park provides the place for the 'get away from it all' break, and the base to enjoy local walking, horse-riding, golf, fishing or cycling.

Calor Gas 2000 Finalist for Best Caravan Park in England

The Beetham Caravan Park has been acknowledged as one of the best in the country [1] and carries a 5 star English Tourism Council pendant. Every pitch on the park has a secluded naturally hedged patio and views to woodland, splendid trees or open meadow. The privacy and very natural character of each pitch is what often surprises the visitor, and is what those with holiday homes on the park most value.

People from all over Britain and some who now live on the continent have made Beetham Caravan Park their base for enjoying life in South Lakeland. The park is open for 46 weeks a year closing during January and half of February.
